International Walk & Roll to School Day

International Walk & Roll to School Day

Mark your calendar! October 7th 2015 is International Walk & Roll to School Day, when millions of students and their families around the world are encouraged to walk, bike, scooter, skate, or carpool to school. Using active transportation is a great for the environment, and it’s a fun way to build some exercise into your day. In Alameda County, over 130 schools have already registered to participate in the event! You can also find posters, stickers (available in English and Spanish), and a toolkit to help promote the event at your school on the International Walk & Roll to School Day event page.

The Alameda County Safe Routes to Schools Program is a program of the Alameda County Transportation Commission and is funded with Alameda County’s local sales tax Measure B, regional, state and federal funds. Your transportation dollars at work!
