Emergency Information

In case of a life-threatening emergency, always call 911 first or the local police department.

To report emergencies/hazards at grade crossings (such as vehicles stuck/stalled at the grade crossing, rough or damaged grade crossings or vegetation concerns on Union Pacific property), contact the Union Pacific Grade Crossing Hotline at 1-800-848-8715 or look for the blue emergency notification system sign.

To report hazards not at grade crossings (such as malfunctioning gates or warning signals, hazardous materials spills, personal injuries, criminal activities, illegal dumping, vehicles stuck/stalled on the tracks or other track obstructions, and other environmental issues such as petroleum spills, idling locomotives and/or engines with excessive smoke), contact the Union Pacific Response Management Communication Center (UP RMCC) at 1-888-UPRRCOP (877-7267). Union Pacific Police can also be reached at this number.
