The Alameda County Safe Routes to Schools Program partnered with Bay Area Children’s Theater to create Rock the Block: A Walk and Roll Musical for elementary school students and Step Up Crew: A Street Smart Concert for middle school students. The shows feature singing, dancing, comedy and lessons about safely walking and bicycling to and from school. The middle school assembly also teaches about riding transit safely.
